Leak shows Kinect-controlled Hulu Plus UI for Xbox
Apr 15th
Shortly after Microsoft began pushing an Xbox 360 update to add Kinect support for the Netfix UI, image leaks now show equivalent functionality for the upcoming Hulu Plus interface. The images, which were posted by Joystiq, point to a rotating menu that follows the same theme as the Netfix interface and Xbox Dashboard.
The new menus allow users to navigate the video queue through hand gestures, rather than requiring the standard Xbox controller for input. The system also supports voice commands for basic playback controls.
Hulu Plus integration is expected to be added to the Xbox 360 sometime this spring.

Microsoft hints Xbox Live friend cap jumping to 1,000
Oct 15th
Microsoft in a German Facebook post (since pulled) implied that the upcoming Xbox 360 Dashboard update will finally eliminate the 100-user friend cap on Xbox Live. It explained that “you can now [have] up to 1,000 friends [on] your friends list” and suggested using Facebook to help get more. Electronista has verified that the beta Dashboard update doesn’t raise the cap, but Microsoft could implement the update by the November 4 launch of the Kinect or else in a smaller update later.
The company hasn’t commented on the post or explained its plans.
