Samsung wants 40m smartphones in 2011, hints 10-inch tablet

Samsung mobile lead Shin Jong-kyun told Japan’s Nikkei BP today that the company expects to ship 40 million smartphones in 2011. The number would double the 20 million Samsung is hoping for this year. Most of its effort would lean on the Galaxy S, about 10 million of which could be sold through all of 2010.
The release could step up competition with Apple, which pushed past 10 million phones a quarter for the first time this summer. Samsung would still benefit even if Apple holds off any advances since the company has been profiting from Apple component purchases. It supplies More >

Free? Can’t be any good then! Not so!
The quality, availability and range of free open source software for windows is superb and rivals, if not betters some mainstream software.
So what kind of applications are available?
Just about anything you can think of. I don’t intend to list all that’s available because it would take pages and you can easily do a Google search in your browser but be prepared for long list to go through.
