T-Mobile’s plans to bring Wi-Fi calling to its handsets are nearing fruition, as leaked images reveal. Originating from TmoNews and depicting an employee training screen of the UMA service and a leaked screen of what appears to be a Samsung Vibrant with a Wi-Fi calling app on its screen, it seems like the service could go live at any point. It should improve T-Mobile’s coverage in Northern and Western England and other parts of the UK.
Support for roaming on 3G is coming at an unspecified later point and will also extend coverage to 3 UK, which already has a deal for 2G roaming on Orange.
