Does Acer have Apple envy?
Sep 22nd
Posted by admin in Techno Updates
Acer is well on its way to becoming the worlds largest PC manufacturer. And it has done that by capitalizing on the success of Windows. But now the company is taking aim at Apple, and it’s becoming evident that it’s the latest victim of a bipolar behavior in the tech industry whenever Apple is a competitor.
Earlier this month, Acer veteran Stan Shih said that Apples products are mutant viruses that, over time, will be overcome by competition that evolves naturally and outlasts the threat Apples products pose. He pointed to the success of Windows to prove his point. He More >

Adobe outlined a zero day flaw in Adobe Flash that can be used to crash the system it’s hosted on or even let an attacker install other malicious software. He nonetheless hinted strongly at the upcoming Honeycomb update to Android, noting that there will eventually be a way to get tablet-ready apps. “We want to make sure that More >
Motorola Droid 2 ad takes dig at Apple’s lack of Flash
Sep 6th
Motorola this weekend poked fun at Apple again with another ad, this time for the Droid 2. The full-page newspaper spread riffs on Apple’s “there’s an app for that” iPhone spots with the simple question “Flash websites? There’s a phone for that.” It argues that Flash is “compromise-free” web browsing as it allegedly shows all the contents other phones, like the iPhone, might miss.
“Flash sites require Flash capabilities,” it reads. “Seemed pretty simple to us.”
The claims reiterate what Motorola has said before and don’t entirely ring true, as recent testers have noted that Flash access on Android so far More >
