Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001 confirmed with overclocked CPU

The Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001, first rumored by Eldar Murtazin, has now been confirmed for the Russian market initially. The replacement for the original Galaxy S, it will feature a single-core CPU overclocked to 1.4GHz. Although only single-core, Murtazin suggests that it is Samsungs answer to the HTC Pyramid, which will be HTCs first dual-core mobile.
Samsung Russia indicates that the phone will ship with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), Samsungs TouchWiz 3.0 UI, 8GB of internal RAM, HD video recording and playback in addition to the overclocked CPU.

Droid Incredible exits, Incredible 2, Samsung ‘Galaxy 2′ due

Verizon has quietly marked the end of a minor era by withdrawing the Droid Incredible shortly before its sequel arrives. The phone no longer shows online and is likely clearing out stock at retail. HTC’s phone was the first high-end Android hardware at Verizon after the original Motorola Droid and one of its most consistent sellers, having been on shelves for nearly a full year.

Leak shows Samsung Presto 4G hotspot shipping March 31

A leak from within Verizon’s internal systems has set a launch date for Samsung’s 4G LTE hotspot. Known through tips as the Presto, the SCH-LC11 should reach online and retail on March 31. Engadget‘s copy of the Verizon Equipment Guide didn’t have price, although most modems and routers are $ 100 or less paired up with a data contract.

Samsung prices 11.6-inch Series 9 at $1,199

Samsung’s product page for the 11.6-inch Series 9 has confirmed pricing for its conspicuous MacBook Air alternative. The system should cost $ 1,199, $ 200 more than the Apple parallel. Just one trim is known and should come with a 1.33GHz Core i3, 2GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD and a seven-hour battery.
The system is officially due to ship in mid-April.
