E Fun outs two new NextBook Android e-book readers

A company called E Fun has released two new Android-powered e-book readers, the Next5 and Next6. A third device, the Next4, hasn’t been seen yet but is expected to arrive later this Spring. The two available devices are powered by Android 2.1 and get Wi-Fi, motion sensors, speakers, and SD memory card slots.
In software, both support Adobe ePub DRM files and a connection to Borders for downloading e-books. A seven-inch, 800×480 LCD touchscreen is common to both as well, but is capacitive rather than resistive in the Next6. The Next6 also has 4GB of storage rather than 2GB. Each More >
Powermat officially outs chargers for iPhone 4, Evo 4G, more

Wireless charger maker Powermat made official its latest products for the iPhone 4 and HTC Evo 4G, as leaked earlier. At the same time, battery adapters for the Droid X, Bold 9700 series, Curve 8500/9300, HTC HD2 and Nokia N97.
The new products are said to be thinner than their predecessors with the electronic components reduced in size from 3.4mm to just 1.6. Iogear outs wireless USB HD computer-to-TV kit

Iogear–makers of switches, cables, peripherals, and other accessories for computers–has announced its latest computer-to-TV connection kit, featuring Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless USB to allow “mirror-mode” computer use, video chatting or presentation of media such as movies and photos up to 720p wirelessly to a television, monitor or projector up to 30 feet away.
The kit, model GUWAVKIT2, uses a simple base station attached to the “transmitting” computer via USB, with Windows machines (XP or higher) needing included software to coordinate the transmission (Mac users must be on 10.5.8 or better, and download a driver from Iogear’s web site). Sony outs PS2 bundle to celebrate system’s 10th anniversary

In an unconventional move, Sony on Wednesday announced it will soon ship a PlayStation 2 bundle that includes Toy Story 3: The Video Game. Due to ship on October 31, the bundle is meant to mark the aging system’s 10-year birthday. In its long life, the best-selling system saw more than 2,000 games created.
The bundle is the same slim model as before and includes a DualShock 2 gamepad. It will be available in stores for just $ 99, which is the same price as the regular PS2 without any games. Back in 2000, the PS2 system cost $ 300.
Verizon outs updated Wireless 3G network extender

Verizon has replaced its current femtocell with a newer model that enhances a handset’s 3G data reception capability along with its voice reception. While both are made by Samsung, the new Verizon Wireless 3G Network Extender lets owners use their home Wi-Fi networks to download content or play online games on their handsets over EVDO in cases where they don’t have a device with Wi-Fi.
The new device has a 40-foot operating range and will support up to six users, rather than the four users on the old device. The new router is no bigger than a conventional router.
