T-Mobile promises to bring its HSPA+ 3G coverage to more than 200 million US residents in the US before year’s end, and some hardware dedicated to this cause has began showing up. Microsoft posts Bing app for Android

Microsoft today posted one of its rare contributions to Android today with word of Bing for Android. The search app closely mirrors the iPhone version and supports images, maps, movie showtimes and other specialties. It likewise uses spoken search for hands-free requests, even for complex searches such as flight schedules.

Sony Ericsson confirms X10s get Android 2.1 next month

Sony Ericsson UK has announced, via Twitter, that it will send out the Android 2.1 update to its XPERIA X10 handsets in September. Such a release was rumored back in April, and would upgrade the phone’s existing Android 1.6 OS. It should get 720p video recording and DLNA media sharing support over the local network at the same time.
The X10 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm and has a 4-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 854×480. The upgrade will bring with it multi-touch support, more advanced features and a more capable web browser.
