Notion Ink shows working Adam production samples

The first production Notion Ink Adam tablets that shipped to the company just yesterday are now being shown off. The company founder, Rohan Shravan, cautions that the models are still early production examples, and as such the texture of the exposed plastic will be smoother once color choices are finalized. Also, Notion Ink confirmed that the tablet will ship with 1GB of RAM.

Intel’s 3rd-gen X25 SSDs get early preview

Early specs on Intel’s third-generation SSDs were leaked thanks to AnandTech. Originally introduced in 2008, the X25-M G3 SSDs sport a 25nm IMFT Flash, which is expected to bring with it twice the capacity while retaining the same price levels. The drives are sampling now, but it’s unclear whether they will be production ready in 2010.

WeTab slate with MeeGo gets September 21 ship date

The WeTab tablet from Neofonie will reach the market on September 21, according to an Intel presentation at the currently ongoing Intel Developer Forum conference. The 11.6-inch tablet will use MeeGo 1.0 overlaid with a custom interface to enable touch input. The device uses Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom N450 CPU and integrated graphics, and will also get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

Archos unwraps five Android-based media players, tablets

Archos today overhauled its device line almost entirely with five new Android models. All of them will ship with Android 2.2 and Flash 10.1 and support for tethering and hotspot sharing on the devices that use 3G. They also share certain minimum specs in common, including ARM Cortex A8 processors and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
