CyberPower intros new LAN Party EVO mini gaming PCs

Custom gaming PC builder CyberPower on Friday announced the release of small form factor desktop gaming systems. Collectively called LAN Party EVO, the series is made up of four systems. Each uses small form factor mITX and mATX mainboards that support modern AMD and Intel processors. The cases also have room for newer AMD and NVIDIA graphics along with liquid cooling.

Kanex puts out adapters to bridge DVI and Mini DisplayPort

Kanex today brought out a trio of display adapters to hook up older computers with Apple’s newer Cinema Displays as well as newer computers to the 30-inch Cinema Display. The C247m and C247d respectively attach mini DVI and full-size DVI computers to the Mini DisplayPort jacks of either the 24- or 27-inch Cinema Displays. The two add a USB connector to pass through audio, the camera and USB functionality.

Nikon president hints again at mini pro camera

Nikon president Makoto Kimura in a new interview has dropped hints again at an in-between camera. He told Reuters the company wanted a camera “different from SLRs and compacts” and hoped to create a new category. It wouldn’t be like typical mirrorless models, although Kimura wasn’t clear on whether it would still be mirrored or occupy a pro point-and-shoot space like the Canon G11.
