Toshiba unwraps 24nm flash memory in possible iPhone 5 clue
Apr 6th
Toshiba upgraded its NAND flash memory Tuesday night in a possible hint at the timing and features of the iPhone 5. Its new SmartNAND is based on a dense 24 nanometer process and allows flash chips up to 64GB for “media players, tablet PCs” and other devices. Along with being more space-efficient, the new design has a better memory controller that speeds up reads and writes.
All of the chips now have their own built-in error correction to take some of the work of guaranteeing accurate date away from a given device’s main processor.
Capacities start at 4GB for the new More >
Toshiba outs record-setting SDHC memory cards
Sep 3rd
Toshiba has revealed new SDHC memory cards with the Ultra High Speed I (UHS-I) standard that enables them to reach maximum data read rates of 95MBps and write speeds of 80MBps. This makes them the fastest SDHC UHS-I memory cards in the world. The cards can thus far only use these speeds in USB 3.0 readers, as no camera can fully use their performance.
The SDHC cards will be available in 8-, 16-, and 32GB capacities and comply with the SD 3.0 USH104 standard. The 4-, 8- and 16GB microSDHC cards meet the SD 3.0 UHS 50 spec, meaning they More >

Some users of the machines, however, do wonder if they will have the capability for doing an Apple Mac Mini memory upgrade should that ever become necessary. Unlike other Mac models, for an owner to do an Apple Mac Mini memory increase, it will be a bit different than simply More >
Upgrading Apple Mac Pro Memory
Jul 15th
Some computer manufacturers have a reputation for creating advanced machines that can handle heavy workloads with super-efficiency. All of the Mac computers are looked at in this way, but even with their cutting edge memory and workload management processes, they can still require upgrading. An Apple Mac Pro Memory Upgrade is easily done thanks to the availability of additional memory slots and the dual-channel memory architecture. This is something standard to these computers, and it allows the Apple Mac Pro RAM to be accessed completely and simultaneously when the slots are loaded with even or equal amounts of memory. For example, if More >
