Google buys PushLife for multi-platform media sync

Google on Friday quietly bought out PushLife in what could be major help to its Google Music initiative. The deal, estimated to be worth $ 25 million, gets a company whose self-titled service let non-iOS smartphones get access to iTunes collections and other to streamline getting to Windows Media Player. Amazon’s rumored online media locker could arrive as soon as Tuesday but with major limitations in place. Amazon may have cloud media locker next week

Insiders said Friday night that Amazon may pip Apple and Google to unveiling a cloud media locker in the very near future. The online retailer has supposedly been talking to music labels and movie studios about storing books, music, and videos on servers so users could get to them from anywhere.
