Android web use closes gap with iOS in the US for August

Android has significantly closed the gap with Apple in web traffic in the US, Quantcast said on Friday. Use of Google’s mobile OS has climbed 17 percent from the start of the year until August, giving it exactly a quarter of traffic. Apple’s iOS, meanwhile, has lost 11 percent over the same eight months and has a narrower lead at 56 percent.
RIM’s historically poor web browsing experience has kept it mostly flat, at nine percent.

Mophie Juice Pack for iPhone 4 coming next week?

Add-on battery maker Mophie will soon release another battery pack, this time for the iPhone 4. Engadget believes the accessory will arrive as soon as next week, priced at $ 79, or less than previous Mophie iPhone batteries. The newest product will reportedly double the iPhone 4′s battery life.
Called the Juice Pack Air like its predecessor, it will allow users to plug into a USB charger and continue to sync the device with iTunes. iPhone “definitely” coming to T-Mobile US, G2 pricing leaked

Persistent talk of an iPhone for T-Mobile USA gained a minor assist with a rumor this morning. An unnamed Examiner contact said that there had been “problems with the carrier” but that there would now “definitely” be a version for the second-largest American GSM carrier. The unconfirmed tip had the iPhone reaching the network early in 2011.
