The Huawei Ideos S7 tablet, first shown back in February, is now up for pre-order at Best Buy. The seven-inch, 800×480 touchscreen tablet is due to arrive at the retailer on November 7 and cost $ 300. The Android 2.1 device has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.
Onboard are a two-megapixel camera on the front and back of the device, while a microSD memory card slot lets users add up to 8GB of storage. Huawei’s Ideos is already in line for T-Mobile USA based on reports of talks [sub. required]. The American carrier hopes to have the budget Android 2.2 phone by the end of the year and could have a deal finished within four to six weeks, according to the WSJ, leading to a launch shortly afterwards. Huawei promises ultra-cheap Android for Cricket, MetroPCS

At a pre-IFA media event today, Huawei introduced its first Android-powered handset, the Ideos. It will be sold in Europe, Asia and the Americas and be made in both CDMA and GSM configurations. Android 2.2 is preloaded, and the GSM-based U8150 will support 850/1900/2100MHz HSPA networks for most Canadian carriers and AT&T.
The C8150 will have tri-band 850/1700/1900MHz CDMA on board, meaning it is likely to be carried by 1,700MHz prepaid carriers like Cricket and MetroPCS.
