Apple snagging RIM execs for enterprise iPhone push

A new discovery today on LinkedIn has confirmed that Apple has been ‘stealing’ RIM’s BlackBerry enterprise sales staff to improve corporate iPhone sales [reg. required]. Starting with Strategic Sales lead Geoff Perfect, who left in April 2009, Apple has been acquiring an increasing number of staff over the past 1.5 years. He became the Head of Enterprise iPhone Sales, while four more, Paul Alvarez, Joe Bartlett, Peter Decker and Steve Marshall, left between January and June this year.

Microsoft replaces device, software execs following exits

Software and hardware giant Microsoft on Friday promoted three executives to the titles of president to help fill out the vacancies when entertainment and devices president Robbie Bach left this summer, along with Business division president Stephen Elop. This includes Andy Lees, the senior VP of Microsoft’s mobile communications business who now becomes the president of the mobile communications business; Don Mattrick (pictured), Xbox, Zune and Windows Media Center head becoming the president of interactive entertainment. Sony execs talk PlayStation Move expectations, PS4 details

The PlayStation Move is now less than a month from hitting stores shelves, and it looks like some Sony execs are already busy starting to manage expectations. Speaking with Eurogamer this week, Sony Computer Entertainment senior vice president Ray Maguire chose to compare the Move’s launch to that of the EyeToy for the PlayStation 2, saying that “exactly as with EyeToy in the PS2 days, it’s a product that needs to be sampled.
