Lion may pack Find My Mac, Mobile Documents cloud folders

More discoveries in the Lion developer preview have implied that Apple’s MobileMe revamp may bring new features to the Mac as well. A finding in the code shows references to a “Find My Mac” identifier that would help users track a lost or stolen Mac. The 9to5 tip didn’t glean functionality, but it would presumably use Wi-Fi geolocation much as Snow Leopard can already use Wi-Fi positioning to get the local time.
Any extension is likely to be free, since iPhone, iPod and iPad users already get Find My iPhone.

Netgear-built Roku XD Player surfaces in FCC documents

Two new Roku Players have surfaced in FCC documents, including one variant that appears to be borne of a collaborative effort with Netgear. Each of the filings carries a Roku XD label, while the tests point to 802.11b/g/n connectivity paired with Ethernet, composite video, and HDMI connections.
The Netgear variant is listed as the XD Player, model NTV250, while the other device is simply the Roku XD with the model designation 2050X. It is unclear if the Netgear device will work as a client/server streaming platform, or serve a different purpose.
