Review: Energizer Inductive Charging Pad and iPhone case

Inductive charging is theoretically the holy grail for convenience, and the young-in-the-tooth Qi standard promises to make it relevant for nearly any low-power gadget. With that in mind, Energizer is stepping up with the Inductive Charging Pad, a plate that can potentially power anything while going wire-free. We’ll find out in our full review if it’s the breakthrough it’s meant to be or if there’s still some big caveats at hand.
Kodak lands ITC review of Apple, RIM wins in patent case

Kodak on Friday night successfully obtained a review of the ITC decision for Apple and RIM. The trade agency said it would check again whether Kodak’s patent for low resolution previews was being copied in the BlackBerry and iPhone. A decision would take place no later than May 23.

Judge in PS3 case lets Sony track visitors to Geohot website

George Hotz faced another setback in his defense against Sony’s anti-jailbreaking lawsuit late Thursday after a judge granted Sony a potentially controversial amount of information access. It now has permission to get the IP addresses, accounts and other details of anyone who has visited either his main Geohot site or his PS3 jailbreak Blogger site between January 2009 and the modern day. Sony made clear that the access wouldn’t be limited to those who downloaded the jailbreak code.

Belkin announced iPad 2 case lineup

Long-time Mac accessory maker Belkin has unveiled their all-new lineup of cases and stands for the iPad 2, each specifically engineered for the thinner, lighter model but in some cases will also be compatible with the previous model. Two of the new models are designed as stands only, while the others are traditional folio-style cases that also offer various positioning options.
