Onkyo outs three Atom-powered Win 7 tablets

Onkyo has just introduced three new tablets for its home market in Japan. Each gets Windows 7 for the OS, but the TW117A4 and TW217A5 get a 10.1-inch display rather than the 11.6-inch screen on the TW317A5. The former pair also gets the 1.66GHz Atom N450, while the larger model gets the 1.6GHz Atom Z530.
Other common specs include 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. The TW117A4 alone has a 160GB hard drive, with the others relying on a faster but less capacious 32GB SSD. The larger model’s screen has a 720p resolution. The models will weigh between about More >
Commodore USA announces the PC64, an Atom-powered PC in a replica Commodore case

We have a fondness for Commodore computers (as you’ve probably noticed by now) and we are psyched that Commodore USA is still flying the flag for the once-ubiquitous brand, but as they always are in this biz, things are a little… complicated. We were first contacted way back in March when the company shared the news that it had acquired the rights to sell PCs under the name. Then what happened? Dual-core Atom-powered Gigabyte and Lenovo netbooks up for sale in Australia

As promised, we’ve been keeping an ear to the ground on Intel’s new mobile, dual-core Atom processor, and as luck would have it a number of netbooks are popping up with the new CPU baked in…well, at least in the land down under. Australian e-tailer Pena.au has 10.1-inch netbooks from both Gigabyte and Lenovo listed on its site with the fresh 1.5GHz Atom N550 processor.
