Verizon has launched a new DSL tier that gives subscribers 10Mbps to 15Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream. The new internet service is priced at $ 60 per month, while customers who also have a voice plan with Verizon will receive a discounted price of $ 50 per month. Small-business pricing information has also been released, with prices starting at $ 90 per month by itself on a two-year contract, and $ 100 per month contract-free.

Microsoft today posted one of its rare contributions to Android today with word of Bing for Android. The search app closely mirrors the iPhone version and supports images, maps, movie showtimes and other specialties. It likewise uses spoken search for hands-free requests, even for complex searches such as flight schedules.

More official accessories have surfaced for the upcoming Galaxy Tab from Samsung. The Bluetooth pen acts as a stylus and Bluetooth receiver that can also be paired with other devices, including handsets. Users can manage incoming calls with the stylus, though a built-in speaker or microphone is unlikely.

Samsung Wave 723 packs Bada, built-in leather flip cover

Samsung grew its fledgling Bada-based phone line today by launching the Wave 723. Although a step below the original Wave with a 3.2-inch LCD instead of the more exotic Super AMOLED, it stands out through a unique leather flip cover built into the body itself to protect the phone’s screen. StreetSpace lawsuit targets Apple, others over ads

Apple and newly-absorbed subsidiary Quattro Wireless are just two of several targets in a new lawsuit from Malaysian company StreetSpace, says AppleInsider. The firm is responsible for the Web Station, a web-browsing kiosk supported in part through targeted advertising. The defendants are accused of violating US Patent 6,847,969, Method and System for Providing Personalized Online Services and Advertisements in Public Spaces.
